another update on the other house
It has been another week since my last report on the other house. Here are couple pictures that show the house before the new roof and after the new roof. We are to the point that we have run out of stuff to do inside until we get the electricity up and running. We have an electrician meeting us there tomorrow night. We cleaned up around the property today, cut some shrubbery, and picked up trash laying around. With all the ugliness of the project the last picture was taken at the back of the property, and nature still puts on a pretty good show!

3rd day of demolition (kind of)
Here are a couple of pictures of the bathroom now that the fixtures are gone and some of the drywall is down. I spent the morning waiting for the roofing contracter to get there, so did some cleaning up of some of the debris laying around on the floor. I see more potential in the project as some of the bad stuff is gotten rid of! Like I told Michelle this morning that all could change by morning!

The second day of demolition
We are back from our second day of work at the other house. It was cold and had a little bit of snow. We started off by trying to get a fire started in the backyard to burn some of the cabinets we pulled out yesterday. It took about an hour to get the fire going as it was snowing and our lighter was out of fluid. We ended getting it started and had a bonfire going all day. Today we concentrated getting the sub floor out of the dining room and gutting the bathroom. We had a surprise under the bathroom sink as you will see in the picture, we got a bad case of the giggles after that. You can see what a mess the bathroom was. The bath tub, sink and toilet are out now, plus the dry wall behind the tub and sink are gone. We are home now and have washed the filth off us and starting to feel a bit warmer. We are probably going to have to get a dumpster over there to put some of the dry wall in. We will try to keep you updated on here.

The first day of demolition at the Leavittsburg house
We finished the first day of demolition at the Leavittsburg house. I have to say it went well. We brought all the tools we needed, we didn't break any plumbing, and no one ended up bleeding at anytime, I call that a success! It is quite a mess ,but it has to be dealt with. We hired someone to come in and clean out and haul all the junk that was left in the house. We had a guy come out today and measure the roof for an estimate to have it re-roofed. We are taking it one step at a time. I feel good that we kind of know what we are getting into now. These are a few before and after pictures. Not too bad for one day of work!
