The first two pictures are the first glimpse of a window we knew we had as you can see it from the outside. From the inside of the house the window was covered by drywall, so today we said "let there be light" You can never have too many windows!

This picture here is looking up through the ceiling in the same room as the hidden window. We could tell there had been a water leak as the drywall was falling in and it was water stained, we thought the leak problem was solved with the new roof. We came in this morning it looked like there was water on the floor as it rained heavy last night. We cut away the old damaged drywall and this is what we saw. What it is is a vent pipe from old plumbing. We ran down to the Ace hardware and bought a 3 inch cap for $2.50 and the problem was cured, no more leak. Nothing like pulling apart an old house, you never know what you might unearth!
Also in the first picture above is the only working outlet in the whole house. We've been using two different extension cords, but, today Scott came into the room with a 3 outlet plug that he plugged into the outlet. Now we have an additional 3 plugs that will accommodate more extension cords. LOL!
