Tuesday night work at the project house

This is the kitchen window that we had replaced. The old window that came out of there was so long that part of the window was actually below the kitchen counter. With the shorter window we had to get some siding that we could match up with the old  siding. The problem is that the old siding is made of asbestos. It is fine if it stays on the house, but if you pull it off it is a hazardous material! We were able to find through Home depot a replacement tile which doesn't contain any asbestos. It was a bit pricey, (178 bucks for 13 tiles) but it matched up pretty good! Tonight we were able to get it installed, trimmed out and primed in under 2 hours. It was a good night!  We just need to paint it and caulk around the edges of the window trim.
